题目：From optimal Transportation to Nonlinear Optimisation

摘要：In this talk, we first introduce the optimal transportation problem and its Kantorovich’s dual functional, from which arises the research area of linear programming,also called linear optimisation. As an extension, we then introduce a class of nonlinear optimisation problems. Under mild assumptions, we obtain the existence of potential functions and show that the potential function is a generalised solution of a Monge-Ampere equation. We also present some interesting applications in geometric optics problems.
